Chaining required for local server? - by: AtM

I want to run EKOS/KStars and a guide camera on one RPi, and the mount control and main CCD on a second RPi. Both are interconnected through a small local LAN, I access KStars through a remote desktop works like a charm!

Questions:

• Does KStars/EKOS have a direct interface to the guidecam, or does it always use an indiserver?
• Do I need to chain indiservers also if one is running locally with KStars/EKOS ?
