QHY8 support - by: papaf76

Hi all,
I recently installed lubuntu and kstars-bleeding plus indi on a friend notebook.
He has a QHY8 and it doesn't appear on the supported QHY cameras. I've seen some topics floating around on this and other forums but they never get to a conclusion.
Is this camera supported? I seem to understand there's many version of it around, so if it doesn't get recognized, can I do something to help getting it to work?
