Losmandy Gemini 2 control with ethernet - by: phomer60

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 running Ubuntu Mate which is connected to an ethernet router which also has an ethernet connection to a Gemini 2 controller.

I am able to run Firefox and control the mount with the browser interface however I am failing when running through INDi Control Panel.

I have connection mode: Ethernet
TCP server: same as browser 192.168.1.103
Port: 4030
I get the following messages when I select [connect]
connecting to 192.168.1.103@4030 ..
Losmandy Gemini is online
Failed to retrive time format from device
Error reading date from Telescope.
Time updated, updating planetary data...
Site Location updated to etc...
Error reading RA/DEC.
Error reading RA/DEC.
Error reading RA/DEC.
...

I can park and unpark the mount but any slew commands are ignored and the RA/DEC error keeps coming up.

I am trying ethernet as I have had some pule guiding issues with USB and was trying to see if this worked.
