I was inspired by the Rock64 post to post my current setup for doing astrophotography using KStars/INDI. I realized that I don't think I ever posted all the info about what I am using. Most of the posts we have had going back and forth have been about software. But anyway this is what I use.
I use a Raspberry Pi 3 with a powered USB Hub, and a USB WIFI dongle for more WIFI strength.
The most important part of my setup is that my USB Hub accepts 12V power and outputs 5V power. So I am powering the USB hub as not only an extra 7 USB ports, but also as a power supply for the PI. It has 2 "power supply" USB ports for this purpose and I use 1 of them for the PI. Not shown in the photos is the backside of the USB hub with many many ports.
I will see if I can get some more photos of it attached to the scope and in action. Also I was about to post some links to the equipment I used, but it said I had too many links in my post. so I will try to post separately
